Water~ Water ~ Water~ what’s the BIG DEAL?? !!
During the growing season an Oak tree consumes 100 gallons of water per day; and a full grown Oak tree expels 7 tons of water through its leaves!
I know, by now you are asking what does that have to do with me?
Well, as Humans we need to drink at least ½ of our body’s weight in water per day. Drinking water is very important in our system in a variety of vital ways.
Oh my gosh I can’t seem to remember anything!!
Let’s start with our Brain: Do you ever experience foggy thinking? Headaches? Fatigue?
Well check this out- Our Brains are composed of 70% water!
Incredible! Drinking water carries nutrients and oxygen to our Brains cells and helps stabilize our body’s temperature and in some cases may even lower Blood pressure.
The story of Aunt Joan: my Aunt never drank water, well maybe only 8-16 ounces per day and as she aged she developed foggy thinking, then Dementia. ,,,, Scary.
Now let’s move on to our Skin. Our largest eliminatory Organ.
Water helps hydrate the Skins barrier, reduces inflammation, wrinkles, and supports detoxification by removing free radicals.
All of this sounds amazing, yes?
Our Kidneys: we have 2 of them. This is where crystals can form, causing urinary tract infections, or Kidney stones. Drinking water helps FLUSH the Kidneys of toxic waste products.
Let’s not forget our Liver. Drinking sufficient amounts help flush out harmful toxins, from the effects of Alcohol and medications. Water also helps break down fats, which will reduce your potential risk of developing fatty Liver disease
