Important Safety Information

When Colon Hydrotherapy May Not Be Appropriate

Your health and safety are our highest priorities. While colon hydrotherapy may support certain wellness goals for many individuals, there are situations where treatment may not be recommended. Understanding contraindications is an important part of ensuring safe and responsible care.

Certain medical conditions, recent procedures, or gastrointestinal concerns may increase the risk of complications during treatment. For this reason, all clients are asked to complete a health intake form prior to their session so we can better understand your health history and determine whether colon hydrotherapy is appropriate for you.

Colon hydrotherapy may not be recommended for individuals with:

  • Recent abdominal or colon surgery
  • Severe hemorrhoids or rectal bleeding
  • Active diverticulitis
  • Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis during flare-ups
  • Severe anemia
  • Uncontrolled high blood pressure
  • Congestive heart failure
  • Kidney disease
  • Colon perforation or bowel obstruction
  • Pregnancy (unless approved by a physician)
  • Certain gastrointestinal disorders or infections

If you have any medical concerns or are currently under a physician’s care, we encourage you to consult your healthcare provider before scheduling treatment.

Healing Waters is committed to providing wellness services responsibly, professionally, and with the well-being of every client in mind.
